The Audio Note CD-3.1x Mk II sits near the top of the Audio Note UK range of integrated compact disc players. The performance and musical ability of the player has won it much praise and the construction is of extremely high quality.
The unit features a Philips front-loading transport mechanism, modified in-house by Audio Note. The digital circuitry uses the highly regarded Analog Devices AD1865 digital to analogue converter chip and the audio section features an ECC88 tube output stage with Audio Note copper foil capacitors and tantalum resistors.
An extremely musical and accomplished performer, the player is available with a face plate in either brushed aluminium or polished black acrylic to match other products in the Audio Note UK rang
The CD3.1x uses the revolutionary and currently exclusive Audio Note digital technology dubbed the 1x oversampling direct from disc circuit topology. The ultimate version of this technology is found in the extremely expensive DAC5 Signature, and we have taken great to ensure that as much of the inherent advantages of the topology have been retained in the sound of the CD3.1x.
The technology dispenses with all the correction measures inherent in all other D-A converters and presents the digital signal directly to the converter after reformatting. This allow you to hear what is actually recorded on each disc, rather than, as has been the case up to now, some technically and cosmetically altered version, as a result the reproduction is more reminiscent of a master tape in quality.
Both front controls and remote. This highly musical player is available with a face plate in either brushed aluminium or polished black acrylic to match other products in the Audio Note range.
